Halloween is just a day away, what better time for a scare?

Do you believe in ghosts?

I think it would be great to actually see a ghost. A few years ago I took a series of pictures in my house that revealed a bunch of "orbs". Some people think that orbs are spirit manifestations, others tend to think they are nothing more than flash reflections on dust motes (bunch a kill-joys).

Here are some cool photographs alleged to be of spirits, enjoy and partake of that grain of salt if you wish.

Brown_LadyThe Brown Lady at Raynham Hall:

Taken in 1936 at Raynham Hall in England by a photographer for Country Life Magazine, The Brown Lady is probably one of the most infamous photos of ghosts ever taken. Allegedly, the photographer actually saw the spirit and photographed her.

This photo is said to be of the spirit of Lady Dorothy Townshend, whose husband is said to have locked her away after he discovered his wife's proclivity for extramarital affairs.

The Bachelor's Grove Cemetery Madonna (right):
Taken some time in the early 1990's, the photographer claims that the cemetery was empty at the time he shot this, and yet we see this woman sitting on a bench staring off into the distance...whatever the case may be, this is a haunting picture.

asylum-1 The Asylum Ghosts

This admittedly freaky shot was taken in a "mental institution" in
Allentown, Pennsylvania. While some of what is going on here could easily be explained as double exposure, there are some odd goings on (especially the bearded guy up in the far right corner).
