Today (one of those boring posts, nothing to see here, move it along)

Today I got up around four in the morning and helped usher Whatshisname to his appointed connection for the airport limousine; he was leaving for San Antonio Texas.
Long story short, he made his connection and is now in the Lone Star State until next Wednesday.

When I got back home, I tried to go back to sleep, but I could not. So I made breakfast, took a shower, vacuumed the living room, emptied the dishwasher, got gas for my car .

Driving into work I discovered (via WXPN) that, had she lived, Janis Joplin would have been 62 today!

Stumbled into work, somewhat bleary eyed, but caffeinated enough to function, around eight.

Then I shuttled, Aunt Bubby, Zelda, Merci and Joey B. to a meeting in beautiful downtown Vineland New Jersey. We learned all about our new tax exempt savings plan for retirement by a Prudential rep. We also learned that those little State Vehicles do good in off road situations and that four cylinder cars, when pushed by lead footed folk (like yours truly) , can really peal out and lay rubber!

Had a mediocre lunch after the seminar at some crowded diner in Vineland.

Drove the crew back to Office-Land and then decided I was too damn punch drunk to do anything else, took the rest of the day off and came home and fell asleep for about two hours. Dreamt that I was speed skating (!?)

Discovered that one of my favorite houses has closed its doors.

Read a brilliant posting by Pinky Bear on his blog.
