Uncle Pax's Almanac 02/01/2010

Good Morning, and welcome to the first day of February, 2010!  The weather in Utopia has reverted back to winter.  This past weekend we had freezing temperatures and a few inches of snow.  Today promises clear skies and continuing cool weather.

It was on today's date in 1979 that Patty Hearst was released from jail after gaining a presidential pardon for her part in the SLA bank robberies .

You say it's your birthday?  Well, if that's so, you share the day with late Mr. Clark Gable.

Today's obscure term is Chicago Overcoat ... any idea what that means?

Your quote of the day: The more original a discovery, the more obvious it seems afterwards.
- Arthur Koestler

Stay warm and here's hoping you discover something less than obvious today!

Well darling I'm thinking Chicago and Gangsters so it might be something along the same line as cement overshoes.
