Feeling Jazzy

Lambert, Hendricks and Ross were a fantastic jazz trio from back in the 50's and 60's. Annie Ross is show here singing "Twisted" ( a song later covered by both Bette Midler and Joni Mitchell). I am pretty sure this video is from the old Playboy after Dark television series.

Next: Just in time for Halloween here's Lambert, Hendricks and Ross doing "Halloween Spooks" ... it's not really a video, but you get to hear the song, which is pretty terrific. The vocal style puts me in mind of Manhattan Transfer.

And finally, check out this truly bizarre Betty Boop cartoon, "Mysterious Mose". Pay careful attention early on, and you'll see Betty topless for a split second. And then just enjoy ... I am pretty sure the creators of these cartoons were dropping acid.
